David, being Rudolf's closest worker, was never made aware of the activities going on within the Asylum. Instead of directly being responsible for upkeep, he was tasked with providing financial aide. As a result of this, David was completely ablivious to the torture and suffering he was funding. Interested in the project he was funding, David offered to visit the Asylum, to interview patients. This is because it would bring publicity and trust towards the facility and the program. Due to the conditions at the Asylum, among other inhumiane factors, Leonardo naturally denided this proposition. David, for awhile, accepted this answer. However, after a long duration of this, he threatened to cease all funding. This prompted Leon to accept David's offer. David entered the Asylum that night. He asked where the patients where in the Asylum, Rudolf claimed that the patients where in bed and resting. After some prying, David took matters into his own hands. Leon, being an extremely small and crippled man, stood no chance against the healthy and able David. David chose a random cell, and swung it open. What he saw shocked him to an irrevocable level; he saw an extremely malnorished patient, feasting on a corpse. David began to spring out of the building, claiming he was going to alert the authorities. However, before he could escape the building, he was stopped by the guards. They tackeled and began to attack him. They restrained him and presented him to Leon. "No one can know, I'm afraid you've violated company policy. Good bye, friend, where going to get you committed. See, only the insane dare to stand in my way.
