What is in store:
Hello, I am a park ranger whom was tasked with the job of finding a missing hiker. I go into this job thinking with optimism. However, I also fear the proposition of the hiker being dead. Its getting dark, so I have to move fast while being observant. Little did I know, finding the hiker would be the least of my worries.
My name is Andrew Smith, I'm a ranger at a local park. This park is very obscure and secluded, so reports and calls are very rare. In fact, the entirety of my job has been me hanging in my ranger tower, stuffing my face with donuts and being a general fat bastard. However, I get this call reporting a missing person within my search area. Of course, I'm assigned to complete this task a day before my retirement. Damn it! So, I make my way from my vantage point and enter my car. On my way to the location, I could've sworn that I saw something on the side of the road. At that time, it was late at night so I figured I was simply seeing things. Later, I would regret not heeding this warning. I drove to the area, oddly enough, there was no one at the guard station. This struck me as strange because the worker had agreed to work the station all night. Strange, but it could've just been an honest mistake on his behalf. I equipt my light and comense my search. I peer into every inch of forest within my general area, with no luck. However, I find abnormal foot prints on my search. They were massive, appearing to be human-like. However, they were reptilian and webbed. I pay little attention, deciding to focus on finding the hiker. After some walking, I slip on some fluid and side down a depression in the ground. I regain my awareness and view my surroundings. My heart sinks, it seems like I have stumbled upon a lair of some sort. I discover and identify the liquid I slid on. I rub my eyes, I find out its blood. In front of me, a couple meters away, I see something. I walk closer, its a...pile of human remains. Holy Crap, that was the missing hiker, reduced to a pile of guts and mush. I turn around, my intention was to sprint straight to my car. However, I see something in front of me. A humaniod creature, around 20 feet in height, looking down upon me. Its arms were extremely long, almost touching the floor, it wore a cult-like cloak, and it had red and unforgiving eyes. Those eyes seemed to be peering into my soul. I took off running, through the forest, the massive creature seeming to swing from tree to tree. I tried to find a trail that could lead to an exit, but was unsuccessful. I found a group of dead trees, they were hollow and wide enough for me to fit into. I slipped my way into one of them. I am controlling my breathing and praying to that I wouldn't be found. I am there now, quivering in fear, I hear something approaching. I hear growling....its coming. Oh God.
As of now, the whereabouts of this man arent known. So far, both the hiker and Andrew are considered missing persons. However, no searches have been launched. The prosepect of the Wilder Man being invloved in these disappearences has throughly shaken the community. It seems like the fear is too great for any action to be taken. It is undetermined the origins of the Wilder Man or what it wants. The only thing known is the description and the fear it can shrike into those who cross its path.
I'm coming home from my grave yard shift. The day was tiring, my boss was irritating, the hours were long, the work pleniful. At this point, my eyes are read to slam shut. I despirately want to come home to my family, after a day of this caliber, I want nothing more but rest. My attention is fixated at making my way home, see my car broke down, so I had to bike my way to work. Good thing I brought it, because I'm pretty sure I've just seen someone at the corner of my eye. I make my way to the rack. Damn it! My bike's been stolen. Great, time to walk on home. Not minding the man behind me, I start walking, dreading the impending journey. The thought of me jumping into a cool bed filled my mind, as I made my way down the barren street. However, soon after, I realize that getting home will be the least of my worries. I gaze upward, something's there. An insanely tall figure, unnaturally long arms, clothed in a cloak, with red, souless, piercing eyes.
Shut the hell up and get to work, my boss said. It was a long and brutal night shift, topped of with a massive work load and a relentless boss. After a seemingly endless shift, I was finally finished for the day. Finally, I could get some rest after this tough day. As I clocked out and left the building, I gave my boss the middle finger, while he wasn't looking. I made my way down the parking lot. Now, I don't have access to my car, so I use a bike for transportation. As I made my way to the bike rack, I noticed a figure underneath a street light. I didn't get a good look at the figure, I was preoccupied with finding my bike. I made the discovery that my bike was stolen. I knew what I had to do. Looks like I'm going the long way. I start the long journey home by checking the environment around me. Nothing. Barren. Everything's quiet, like time has stopped in its tracks. The only moving element of my surrounding were the flickering of street lights. After a while of walking, I glance to right of the street. My heart halts. A massively tall figure, its arms nearly touched the floor, it possessed 2 foot long blades for nails, its hands were webbed, it wore a cloak. The creature just stood there, looking at me with its piercing red eyes. It staired at me, seeming to peek into my soul. I tried to take out my phone, however, I didn't have it. I must've forgotten it at work. Damn! Whom was I going to call anyway, the cops? What would they do? I decide to continue walking, as if I wasn't aware of the being's presence. I proceeded until the being was out of view, I felt a sense of relief and safety. However, I knew the creature wasn't through with me, yet. As I make my way across the block, I hear large foot steps making their way towards me. I swiftly turn around to see the massive creature feet away from me. My heart begins to pound, I start running at max speed, I feel my hamstrings rip, my legs dislocate . Despite that, I continue on, not stopping to look back. I can hear the creature hunting me down, I beings saying something. I trip, fearing the worst, I look back. The being is behind me, motionless stairing at me, as lifeless as a statue. I get up, and start walking again, making sure to create distance. Sure enough, it jointed to life, walking towards me. The distance was being closed fast, I become lost in a seemingly infinite array of ally ways and streets. The creature is coming closer and closer despite how much I run from it. Its closing in, nearing me, I feel something grabbing me.
