The Upper Operation Block:
The Face Taker's Lair.
The Face Taker, a man whom resided on the Upper Floors, practiced a bizarre hobby. He would capture his victims, and skin their heads, so that their faces could be removed.
EYES WIDE.
As opposed to directly persuing his victims, the mask taker hides in the shadows. The perferred method of attack was to wait in the shadows
, luring his victime near the darkness. Slowly, he would close in on his victim, and grab him! He would take the victims deep within his lair, bind them to an operating table, and proceed to carry out a procedure in which he sould remove the victims' faces. In fact, he wears the face of his first victim as a mask. His lair is also decorated with the faces of his victims.
The Crawlers
The Crawlers, previously being a part of the swarm, were a cult that worshipped the Grave Robber. After the Face Taker rose to prevalance, they broke from the swarm and became a unified group. After warring with the swarm, they fled and took residence in the Upper Floors. The area, ravaged by the outbreak, was a claim welcome for the Crawlers. They found The Taker and proceeded to become affiliates to him. In fact, the Crawlers began to force themselves to hunch and crawl like an ape. They also wore the removed faces of The Face Taker's victims.
The Face Taker's Back Story
It is believed that the Face Taker, as a child, suffered severe burns to his face in a fire. As a result of these burns, his face was massively disfigured. This was to a point that surgeries had to done to remove charred and swolen skin from mouth cavity and eyes. The flesh had been burned and had swelled to point of interphering with breathing and eating. After the surgeries, he was able to eat and breathe. However, parts of his face were raised and flesh peeled and accumulated maggots, if extensive cleaning was not done daily. He was harassed in school for his facial burns, some students would attempt to peel skin from his face. This would cause him great pain and suffering. One day, he had enough. The child face taker punched one of his abusers, breaking his nose and part of his jaw. The abuser began bleeding profusely. Due to these actions, coupled with the incompetent schooling system, he was committed to the Asylum for betermint. He was kept there all throughout childhood, after decades of abuse, he snapped once more. He become a part of the driving force of the outbreak. He proceeded to claim the area in which he was stationed in, he stll had dismay for his appearence. He began skinning the faces from his victims, wearing them as masks. He wanted to feel free of his charred and disfugured face, to let go of the rejection and ridicule he suffered. To finally feel what he longed for: normalcy.
